| What is the purpose of the module? |
Forums are designed to get browsers with similar interests in a virtual area to discuss and create topics. A forum can be described as a second level ‘community’ tool. Forums allow visitors not only to read and reply to what other visitors have commented (posted), but they can also create new topics |
| What are the key benefits of the module? |
- It is a great tool to get similar minded people in one ‘room’
- Those giving feedback is incentivised by being able to give their point of view and by creating new forum topics
- The Forum owner give most of the power to the visitors who can create content and topics as they like
- The Forum owner can keep some control by moderating the comments and topics
- This is a great tool for research and trying to understand certain online communities
